There was no doubt that Maddie would rock her senior session. She works at a cute boutique in town and models the clothes for photos for social media so she has lots of experience in front of the camera. She has a great sense of style and looks adorable in everything!
We started at her house with the cutest dogs you ever did see. Cliff is a puppy so he is quite rambunctious as you can imagine. But it sure was fun trying to get a photo of all three of them! I love that we were able to use their yard for some of Maddie's photos. The tree with the bench is where some of their beloved pets are buried. Locations that seniors have an attachment to are just a little more special.
I found this location in town earlier this Fall and since Maddie's session was pretty late in the season I wasn't sure if there would be enough leaves left on the trees but it still looked amazing! While we were there the owner came out and said they were thinking of painting a mural on the shed and cutting down the limb in front of it. Inside I was screaming, nooooo!!! I love this spot just the way it is! One other spot I found this year and absolutely loved was torn down after I had only gotten to shoot there one time. I was so disappointed! Hopefully, this spot stays like this for awhile. Isn't it perfect?!! And Maddie's Fall colors are the perfect compliment!
Then Maddie pulled out this dress and wow! I was so excited! I usually try to have all the outfits figured out and locations for each outfit nailed down but Maddie surprised me with this one and I am so glad she did! It ended up being my favorite on her! We were able to photograph her in this dress in four locations. I think the downtown, mint colored building was my fave. I love bold colors for senior photos and this color was incredible on Maddie!
Our last location was this amazing field that I love to shoot in. Maddie looked absolutely stunning in that sweet dress and gorgeous sunset light!
Maddie's sweet boyfriend was my lighting assistant for the day. He was such a good sport about getting in some photos and about us giving him a hard time when there was a lighting mishap. (Which was totally not his fault:)
Maddie's Senior Film shows her sweet personality. There is just something about seeing your child in motion to bring back a rush of memories. They will have this film in their hands in a video book to watch whenever they want to remember their baby girl as a senior in high school.
